A lot of attention has been giving to engagement rings and less concern for wedding rings. This is probably rooted in the fact that most people get too much attention during and after the proposal and engagement party, contrary to wedding rings. However, a wedding ring signifies your commitment that has been recognized through marriage.

When buying wedding rings, it is in an approach that is different to buying engagement rings – no element of surprise since both parties decide for the wedding rings.

1.Budget

You need to set aside 3 to 5 % of your wedding budget to your rings as recommended. You can also opt to half eternity rather than full eternity band, or white gold instead of platinum. Also, remember that popular brands can be more expensive than normal brands even if they both produce the same quality of rings. So, choose the nice quality ring at a fair price. After all, it’s the ring that matters and not the brand.

2.Search early

Give yourself three to four months before the wedding ring to search. You will need a lot of time to search and compare prices, quality, brands, and styles. Also, when you already have decided what to choose, engraving can last up to a month, so decide early.

3.Style

When it comes to style, remember that there is no rule that states you need to choose only one metal or style. Mix it up and experiment. You can blend two or more metals through a braided style. You can also be different when it comes to choosing or making your own wedding ring style. Remember that you should not restrict yourself and make sure that your rings represent your individual personality.

4.Maintenance

A wedding band that is made of simple gold or platinum can be very easy to maintain. All you need is a soft, lint-free cloth and you are good to go. The wedding bands with stones in it, however, can be difficult to clean. You will need to soak it in warm water, brush, and pat them dry. Opt for easy maintenance/

  1. Rings should have something in common

This does not mean that your rings need to be very similar, but you need to make sure that they share at least one element like engraving, stones, etc.

  1. Do not overpower your engagement rings

Engagement rings are fancier and wedding rings are not less fancy but they should not overpower your engagement rings. It is recommended that you choose a brand that is similar to its width.

  1. Consider your lifestyle

You will be wearing your wedding ring for the rest of your post-marriage life so consider your lifestyle and hobbies. When you play an instrument or sports, you can choose a slimmer band with rounded edges for comfort. Also, when you do some crafts or work with your hand, consider having simple solid metal rings.

Conclusion

Choosing a wedding ring does not need to be expensive, but it does not need to be of less of your concern too! You just need to follow what we have recommended and we are sure that you will have a perfect ring for your wedding.
